Accountant General Gilgit Baltistan

The Accountant General Gilgit-Baltistan has been established with the order of Chairman Gilgit-Baltistan Council i.e. Prime Minister of Pakistan in exercise of powers conferred upon him under the Gilgit-Baltistan (Empowerment and Self-Governance) Order 2009 and in terms of Gilgit-Baltistan Controller General of Accounts, (Appointment, Functions and Powers) Act 2012 vide GBC Secretariat’s Notification No. 1(7)/2011-GBC-F&A dated 29th June 2012. The Office of Accountant General Gilgit-Baltistan (AG-GB) has been working as an attached department of Gilgit-Baltistan Council Secretariat Islamabad and has become operational with effect from 1st July 2012.
